Auburn, Ala. (Auburn Athletics) - The Tigers were in control from the onset in the second game grabbing a quick 2-0 lead their first turn at bat.

Tiffany Howard led off the game taking a hit by the pitch, and then took second on a wild pitch. The senior scored on Kasey Cooper's single and Cooper took second base on the throw setting into scoring position. A passed ball put Cooper at third base and a sac fly from Carlee Wallace.

Auburn added two more runs to their total during the third with the top of the order once again supplying the damage. A Cooper single followed by a Carosone double put both runners at second and third. Wallace once again put the ball in play and the fielder's choice RBI allowed Cooper to take home and an errant throw to the plate allowed Carosone to come around to score making it 4-0.

Kaylee Carlson (17-2) pitched her fourth complete game in her last five appearances. The righty sophomore also held the Wildcats batted balls on the ground dishing 14 ground outs in the victory.

In the fifth inning, Haley Fagan gave the 1,889 fans even more cause to celebrate with her first home run since May 16, 2015 to extend the lead to 5-0. Emily Carosone's RBI single covered a run Arizona scored during the top half of the sixth for the final run of the game.

"I'd like to take just a second to thank a few people," Myers said after the game. "The fans today were phenomenal. For two days in a row, it was hot and humid, and I tell you, they were out there sunburned, beaten red, but they never left and supported us the entire way. They are very special people and I just want to say thank you."

The WCWS will be hosted at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium played on the OGE Energy Field from June 2-7/8.
