Good morning everyone. This is Christine Sperow checking in with you as usual! Today is Friday, June 22. Here is a first look at the stories we're following now on WBTV News This Morning. We're live from 4:30-7 a.m. with the most accurate look at news, weather and traffic updates to help you get your morning started.

VIDEO ALERT: This story has many of you talking. A bear was spotted walking down a neighborhood street in Charlotte. We'll show you video of the bear near Mount Holly-Huntersville Road. But get this - it's not the only sighting in our area! An expert is telling us this may become more common. We'll explain.

OVERNIGHT: A local Wendy's was the scene of a shooting overnight. It happened in the parking lot of the Wendy's on Sunset Boulevard. WBTV's Caroline Hicks will have a live report where she is learning the alleged shooter is a Wendy's employee.

Are you an Amazon shopper? Charlotte may soon spend millions to bring an Amazon distribution center near the airport.

Charlotte City council woman LaWana Mayfield has made headlines for her controversial posts on social media - from her comments on the 9/11 terrorist attacks, to anti-police rhetoric. We'll take you to a forum she hosted last night forum to try and calm the tension she says exists between residents and police.

WEATHER CHANGES: Temperatures are trending...down! Have you felt the difference?? Meteorologist Al Conklin told us this is what we would see. He has more details on the rain chances, now that we're officially in a deficit.
