With Case Keenum, Paxton Lynch and Chad Kelly already on the roster, Broncos cornerback Chris Harris indicated during a press conference Tuesday that he does not want the team to select a quarterback fifth overall in Thursday’s draft.

So, who does he want general manager John Elway to select?

“Somebody who’s going to come in and play,” Harris said. “We’re going to need somebody who can come in and play now, whether that be [RB Saquon] Barkley, [DE Bradley] Chubb, the guard from Notre Dame [Quenton Nelson], one of those three guys. We know those guys can come in and play right now. We’re trying to win now, we don’t have time to wait.”

With teams expected to make a run at QBs early in this year’s draft, there’s a good chance that at least one of the players Harris mentioned will be available when Denver goes on the clock.

“When you pick a top-5 pick, you expect those guys to play for 10 years and be a Pro-Bowler for a couple of years,” Harris said. “That’s what we expect out of this pick, and hopefully we can get a guy that can be an impact player.”

Broncos linebacker Todd Davis, who also had a press conference Tuesday, had less input to give on Denver’s looming selection.

“It doesn’t matter to me,” Davis said. “I say, ‘In Elway we trust.’ He’s taken us to the Super Bowl. He brought me back. I trust him to pick a great guy at No. 5.”

NFL Network, ESPN and Fox will air the draft beginning April 26.
