“Ms. Anonymous EP”

Wow, it’s been a while since something got us off our feet this briskly. MAX shows off some impressive chops on a well-produced EP for Sony. “Gibberish” is a kickin’ dance track with electric grooves a-plenty and infectious hooks galore. It’s the best track on the EP, although “Hotel Confidential” provides its own unique danceability as well. “You’re Not That Girl” is a contemplative exploration of a love that has changed — perhaps not for the better.
MAX will be pulling up to Jammin’ Java in Vienna, Virginia, Oct. 29 for some pre-Halloween festivities. Tickets are $18 to $30 by visiting JamminJava.com.
