One ETF closely tracking Materials stocks is the Materials Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLB), which is up 1.3% in midday trading, and up 10.31% on a year-to-date basis. CF Industries Holdings Inc, meanwhile, is down 26.98% year-to-date, and Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold is up 72.23% year-to-date. Combined, CF and FCX make up approximately 4.3% of the underlying holdings of XLB.
