Frontier's CEO joins Constellation's board

The president and CEO of Frontier Communications Corp. Daniel J. McCarthy, 51, has joined the board of Constellation Brands.

"We're very pleased to welcome Daniel to the board of directors and believe his unique experience, leadership and strategic capabilities will strengthen our board considerations and decisions as we continue to grow as a total alcohol beverage supplier," Constellation chairman Richard Sands, said in a statement.

McCarthy was appointed president and chief executive officer of Frontier in April, and has held a variety of top executive roles with the company during his 25-year tenure.

The Victor-based wine and beer maker also said that Jeananne K. Hauswald of Solo Management Group, and Mark Zupan, former dean of the University of Rochester's Simon Graduate School of Busines, have retired from the board. All moves were effective July 22.
