Domino's Pizza (DPZ) Misses Q1 EPS by 9c

Domino's Pizza (NYSE: DPZ) reported Q1 EPS of $0.89, $0.09 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.98. Revenue for the quarter came in at $539.18 million versus the consensus estimate of $545.58 million.

Domestic same store sales grew 6.4% during the quarter versus the year-ago period, continuing the 20-quarter positive sales momentum in the U.S. business. The international division also posted strong results with quarterly same store sales growth of 7.9%, marking the 89th consecutive quarter of international same store sales growth.

J. Patrick Doyle, Domino's President and Chief Executive Officer, said: "We started 2016 with yet another strong quarter of growth for both our international and domestic operations. Business remains robust thanks to our tremendous fundamentals and brand momentum."
