      The plastic orchid factory presents an interdisciplinary collaboration between dance artist James Gnam, visual artist Natalie Purschwitz, lighting designer James Proudfoot, and 11 dance artists that explores a generation’s approach to identity, physicality, social dance, and performance. Runs at the SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts until Sunday.

      The Vancouver Art Gallery hosts an exhibition that examines the significance of the six women who were inspirational to the artistic development of Picasso.

      Exhibition of mixed-media works by Mila Karavai at West Vancouver's Silk Purse Art Gallery.

      The LiterASIAN2016 Festival at Vancouver Public Library and the Chinese Cultural Centre explores different ways we choose to gather and record the past and illuminate the deeds of earlier generations.

      Bramwell Tovey conducts pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk and the Vancouver Symphony in works by Morlock, Tchaikovsky, and Stravinsky at the Orpheum.
