Humana and Florida Hospital Sign New Agreement to Provide In-Network Care to Individual Plan Members in Tampa Bay

Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) and Florida Hospital signed a new agreement that allows Humana individual members, including those enrolled in exchange plans, to receive in-network care at Florida Hospital locations in the Tampa Bay area. Humana also has existing agreements with Florida Hospital that provide its Medicare Advantage and commercial group members in-network access to Florida Hospital facilities.

The new contract, effective Aug. 1, 2015, covers Florida Hospital Tampa, Florida Hospital Carrollwood, Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, Florida Hospital North Pinellas and Florida Hospital Connerton, Long Term Acute Care.

"We're pleased to report that, with this new agreement covering our individual members, all of our Humana members now have in-network access to care at Florida Hospital's quality facilities in the Tampa Bay area," said Humana Individual President Steve DeRaleau.

Florida Hospital also signed a new agreement, which took effect July 1, to provide all Humana commercial group and individual members, including exchange plan members, in-network care to Florida Hospital facilities in the Orlando area.
