My Experience with Estée Lauder Youth Dew Eau de Parfum Spray:
The packaging exudes class! It looks so gorgeous to me, and I would not throw it away even when the perfume gets over. The bottle has a beautiful hourglass shape, imitating the figure of a curvy woman. The golden cap is thin but is good enough for the packaging. For me, this gorgeous golden bow seals the deal. It adds a perfect touch of class and elegance to the bottle.
Youth-Dew is a classic fragrance. It has been around for more than 60 years, in the form of oil, perfume, lotion etc. This fragrance is considered one of the most elegant and sexy fragrances ever, and I could not agree more. You are sure to get attention with this gorgeous scent. The scent is appealing, sensual and timeless, for sure. But, do not let the name mislead you. This is neither a youthful fragrance nor as light as dew.
The scent is quite heavy, in fact, so heavy that one spray and you’re done for the day! As you can see from the description above, it is full of floral notes and has a hint of spice in it. Warm, dry, spicy, sweet, and incense – you get a beautiful mixture of all notes in this one perfume. Before I start talking about the notes, please note that this liquid is known to stain white and other light-colored fabric, especially silk. So, be careful and prefer to spray it just on your skin.
I love spicy fragrances but I am not really a fan of floral fragrances. They almost give me a headache but this one is different. A mix of rose and lavender takes over my senses as soon as I spray this perfume. But don’t let these initial floral notes scare you. Soon, the scent is taken over by jasmine and spices. This is where I begin to fall in love with this perfume. The base notes are my favorite and reflect why this is one of the classiest perfumes ever. On my skin, I get patchouli and musk with a slight hint of vanilla. Class!
Quite obviously, the staying power of this perfume is something to vouch for. Since the overall fragrance is heavy, the sillage and staying power both are strong. The fragrance stays on my body until I take a bath. On clothes, it lasts as long as you can imagine. I would like to confess that it took me some time to warm up to this perfume. Initially, the top notes would put me off and even give me a headache. But not, the more I use this perfume, the more I love it.
My only concern is the lavender note here. I am not really a fan of lavender scent and have to keep myself distracted for the initial one hour or so. Other than this, I do not have any complaints. It is a perfect scent for women who demand attention. You smell the perfume and notice the women wearing it even from a few feet away.
