Avid Technology Inc. (Website),  a hardware and software supplier, is considering locating it’s North American headquarters to Orlando’s downtown.

Successfully seducing the company to downtown Orlando would bring 100 high-paying jobs to our City’s core. According to a report by the Orlando Sentinel, the average annual wage of an Avid employee is $81,628.

The CRA advisory committee is looking at offering $400,000 worth of incentives to Avid to have them relocate here.

Avid’s client list includes big-name companies like NBC, Fox, and Disney.

The move to attract Avid to downtown is part of Mayor Dyer’s recent strategy to put Orlando on the map as a hub for the country’s growing tech economy.
