Star Wars Battlefront Beta Launching In Early October

Star Wars Battlefront is going to be huge. I barely even watch the Star Wars movies and I want this game. Noting the huge amount of traction this game will receive among the audience, Electronic Arts has announced they will be gracing us all with a beta!

Beta tests are pretty standard now thanks to the colossal failure of the early version of Battlefield 4 that plagued users with issues for months after launch. This beta will be no different.

Structured to be a stress test of the network system, Star Wars Battlefront beta will be offering three modes inside the beta. First will be the Walker Assault on Hoth, a 40 player multiplayer mode. Next will be a Survival Mission on Tatooine, where you and a friend survive waves of enemy assaults. Lastly, will be a new mode named Drop Zone, which we will receive further details on later.

In addition, Star Wars Battlefront will feature a companion app during the beta that is run on the official website. This companion will operate similar to other companions you see in Battlefield and Destiny, where you can track progress and make loadout updates.

I cannot wait to try this game in early October. Only thing is the beta is a bit close to the release date, which hopefully means Electronic Arts is confident in their net code. I would hate to see the beta show a lot of problems which could cause a push in the release date.

Star Wars Battlefront is set to release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One November 17, 2015. The Star Wars Battlefront Companion app will be available on the web, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store before the release of the full title on November 17, 2015.
