Dick's Sporting Goods to hold three day Grand Opening

Dick's Sporting Goods opened for business in Salisbury this week, but the store is planning a big Grand Opening event that begins on Friday and features an appearance by Carolina Panther Thomas Davis on Saturday.

The store is located in the new "Shoppes At Summit Park" just off Julian Road and I-85. Other stores in the development include Hobby Lobby, Kirklands, and Five Below.

On Saturday Davis will appear from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm inside the store.

As part of the promotion, guests in line early will get a chance to open the DICK'S Sporting Goods Gift Locker at 7:45 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8:45 a.m. on Sunday.

A store spokesperson said that the first 100 people in line on Friday will receive a free Reebok Play Dry® T-Shirt, the first 100 adults in line on Saturday and Sunday will receive a free Mystery Gift Card ranging in value from $5 to $500, with one person winning the $500 card each day.

The Salisbury location will be the retailer's 33rd store in the state of North Carolina and its 633rd nationwide.
