Sony Xperia smartphone may release August 3?

Sony has recently made an announcement on Twitter about an upcoming device that they will unveil next week.

Last July 30, Sony, the manufacturer behind the popular flagship, Xperia, has surprised the fans with their announcement. Although, the news of an upcoming device is a bit ambiguous, to say the least.

The company wrote on their tweet "Focus closely now, a new way to capture split-second photos is coming. 03.08.15 #Xperia."

Of course, with this kind of announcement, fan speculations are quite inevitable.

As speculated on GSM Arena, one possibility is the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra. According to the report, it is expected that the Xperia C5 Ultra is going to come with a front flash and might also "be capable of extremely fast focusing." The handset, as rumors suggest, is expected to come with a 13 MP camera for its main and 5 MP for the front.

Another theory that has popped up, as what Tech Radar has also suggested, is the announcement of a new feature or software for the camera present in the current model of the Xperia flagship. Meanwhile, a report by 9to5 has indicated that this announcement may possibly be another piece of software from the company, especially with how they are acting recently with new software releases.

There are many possibilities here, including a new handset, the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, a new camera software or feature for the Xperia flagship or, as what GSM Arena said on their article, something totally different.

So for now, it is ideal to just wait and see what is in store for the fans on Aug. 3, 2015. Also, it would be best to take these rumors and speculations with a garin of salt for now and hope that this announcement is going to be worth the wait and the anticipation.
