PD: Man Tried to Rob Trumbull Best Buy

The man attempted to steal a pair of Beats headphones, police said.

A Bridgeport man is accused of robbing the Best Buy in Trumbull.

Police responded on Sept. 23 to the complaint.

A loss prevention employee noticed a suspicious man walk toward the headphone aisle and saw him tampering with a Beats headphone set valued at $299.99, police said.

He took the wrapping off the headphones allegedly and put them in his coat.

The loss prevention employee confronted the suspect, identified as Fausto Vizcaino, 29. Vizcaino then offered to pay for the headphones, but loss prevention detained him and waited for police to arrive.

He was charged with third-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. He was additionally charged with two counts of interfering with police after he allegedly gave false names during booking.
