— Republic Records elevated Ben Adelson to senior vp of A&R, rising from his role as vp of A&R.
— Terrorbird Media welcomed Matt Jones to the publicity team. Jones previously worked for Loch Ness Management, Lefse Records, Bloodmoss Records and Parachute Publicity.
— TriPlay appointed Matt Downing as chief marketing officer.
— APA promoted music agent John Pantle (Public Enemy, Run-DMC) to vp of its concerts department.
— Generation Exodus appointed Greg Knapp as director of touring and marketing. Knapp will travel on “The Drop Tour” bus, acting as a liaison through Generation Exodus for the tour, a partnership with Capitol Christian Music Group and featuring Capital Kings, NF and DJ Promote.
— SESAC named Pat Collins, current president and CEO of SESAC Performing Rights, as vice chairman and senior advisor to the company, effective April 1, 2016.
— The Madison Square Garden Company appointed Colin Ingram as executive vp of MSG Productions.
— BPI announced that Mike Batt will step down from his role as deputy chairman to focus on expanding his Dramatico Group business.
— After 14 years as the CEO/executive director of Music BC Industry Association, Bob D’eith announced his departure from the organization.
— Universal Music Group appointed Eric Berman executive vp of public affairs, a newly created position with global oversight of the company’s public policy and government relations.
— Island Records named Rani Hancock head of A&R. She will also be involved in A&R for Safehouse Records, Islands’ joint venture with Phil McIntyre (Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato).
— MapleCore Ltd. appointed Steve Nightingale to the newly created position of vp, acquisitions at Maple Music Recordings/Fontana North, effective Jan. 1, 2016. Nightingale will also bring his artist management company, Vitality Music Management, into Maplecore’s Artist Management Division.
