CMT has greenlighted a series for web stars Dude Perfect, the sports and comedy viral sensation composed of five best friends and a panda mascot, who have amassed more than 1 billion online video views, among their 23 million digital fans and followers.

“The Dude Perfect Show,” which marks the group’s first-ever TV series, hails from Rob Dyrdek’s Superjacket Productions. It is slated for a 2016 debut.

Dude Perfect announced the news of their CMT show today with a video message, which was also shared via their popular social-media channels (watch below).

The series will combine comedy and live-action stunts and follow the lives of Dude Perfect, as they dream up their next viral video, work with famous athletes and celebrity guests, prep performances, meet fans at live events or create hilarity in their Dallas, Texas, headquarters. “The Dude Perfect Show” will showcase exactly how the group comes up with their next idea.

“We are super excited to be working with Superjacket and CMT on the series,” Dude Perfect said in a joint statement. “We have fans from all over the world constantly asking us for more visibility into the daily lives of Dude Perfect and how we get to work with these amazing athletes, entertainers and iconic sports venues.  This show will regularly take fun to the next level and allow the viewers to virtually join us and be part of our incredible journeys.”

Dyrdek, who will serve as an exec producer, commented: “Way beyond the insane trick shots, these guys are truly an All-American brotherhood that turned a passion into an amazing business. This show will give their fans and the world an inside look at their camaraderie and the fun they have behind the viral hits they produce.”

Dyrdek is a member of the Viacom family, which owns CMT, as he’s at the helm of long-running MTV series “Ridiculousness,” which wrapped its sixth season this summer and returns with its seventh season this fall. He will exec produce “Dude Perfect” with Superjacket’s Shane Nickerson, and CMT’s Jayson Dinsmore and Matthew Trierweiler.

Dude Perfect has the No. 1 sports channel on YouTube with more 6.6 million subscribers. The “dudes” are Tyler Toney, Cody Jones, Garrett Hilbert and twins Coby and Cory Cotton.
