Tenet Healthcare Corp. (NYSE: THC) shares gained 2.9% to $58.34, after the company reported its second-quarter loss widened to $61 million, or 61 cents a share, from a loss of $26 million, or 27 cents a share, a year earlier. Excluding charges, the company would have earned 75 cents a share. Revenue increased 11% to $4.49 billion, above analysts’ expectations for $4.4 billion.
