Nokia Launches Its First Virtual Reality Device


BENGALURU: Nokia unveiled a new camera for 3D video production. The new camera is meant for making 3D videos, which can be used in both games as well as movies. The recent rise in the launch of 3D headsets will result in more 3D content being generated.

The new device from Finland’s largest Smartphone maker, Nokia, comes with audio and video capturing capabilities in 360 degrees. Although, it is the first virtual reality camera from Nokia, but the device comes with eight sensors and microphones.

"We expect that virtual reality experiences will soon radically enhance the way people communicate and connect to stories, entertainment, world events and each other," Nokia executive Ramzi Haidamus said in a statement.

The company is changing its approach in the Smartphone business, however, once the deal between Nokia and Microsoft is finalized, the Finesse Company plans to return to its Smartphone business. Due to recently reported loss in the quarterly report, Nokia is planning to sell its navigation business as well.
