People on the move: Cabfind; Mattel Play! Liverpool; Liverpool City Region Digital & Creative Board; Redrow; Wolfe

Birkenhead-based Cabfind has made a new senior appointment that draws on specialist expertise from the car rental sector.

Daniel Price has joined the company as commercial director bringing with him in-depth knowledge of the ground transportation sector and technology driven on-demand services.

He has a proven track record within the mobility sector after holding senior roles at Avis Budget Group and Sixt rent a car.

Price will be hosting Cabfind’s Industry Insight seminar at the Business Travel Show entitled Ground Transportation’s role in the future of Corporate Mobility.

He explained: “Cabfind has a great reputation and my new role is an incredible opportunity to amplify its service proposition to deliver connectivity, visibility and value.

“The mobility sector is going through a period of profound change and I will be identifying how to maximise existing markets as well as explore new opportunities to collaborate and deliver innovation.”

Cabfind managing director, Lee Wasnidge said: “Daniel’s background in the car rental sector will significantly help Cabfind achieve its mission to get people and products to the right place at the right time.”

Mattel Play! Liverpool has appointed a new full-time Marketing Assistant to further strengthen the team at the Albert Dock attraction.

Tom Bolger, 24, has been promoted from his role as staff supervisor, with his new position focusing on social media coordination, business and media liaison, marketing and events planning, plus driving innovation and new content within the attraction.

Zachary Roberts-Kendall, commercial manager, said: “It’s pleasing to have been able to promote one of our staff to a more senior role.

“Tom’s in-depth knowledge of the attraction will help us to improve the customer experience and better promote the brand.”

Bolger said: “I’m very excited about my new position at Mattel Play! Liverpool.”

Liverpool City Region Digital & Creative Board has recruited three talented professionals.
 
Chelsea Slater from Liverpool Girl Geeks, Amanda Follit from Amaze and Ian Finch from Mando are the three newest members who will help shape the sector and build upon its strengths as a major UK digital and creative hotbed.
 
The digital and creative sector is of critical importance for the city region and forms one of the key growth sectors as identified in the City Region’s Growth Strategy as central to driving sustained growth of the economy over the coming decades.

The board has been established by the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and brings a variety of experiences across the digital, cultural, commercial and academic sectors to drive, promote and accelerate its global position in the digital and cultural industries.

Kate Willard, chair of the Digital and Creative Board, said: “Liverpool City Region is a thriving, creative digital hotbed working with global clients on a ground-breaking portfolio of work.  This City Region has the second fastest growing technology start-up cluster in the country with around 3,500 businesses making an annual GVA contribution of almost £900m – we want to grow this.”

Stuart Bullough has been promoted to the role of area construction manager for housebuilder Redrow’s Chorley-based Lancashire division.

After qualifying as a joiner, he became part of the company in 2003, initially as an assistant site manager.

Since then, his career has gone from strength to strength, with the 43-year-old from Poulton-le-Fylde climbing up the construction ladder to site manager and, then, project manager.

Bullough said: “I am really proud, of course I’m proud, and it’s nice to have the recognition. It means I must be doing my job well and I always want to be the best I can.”

Manchester-based brand experience and event agency Wolfe has made a trio of appointments to bolster its team.  
 
Chris Marmion joins the company as a member of its senior management team, leading the agency’s experiential marketing arm, managing relationships with existing clients including Pets at Home, Manchester Airports Group and Leesa Sleep, as well as helping founder, Laura Wolfe, grow the experiential side of the business with new clients.
   
He brings a wealth of experience, having worked with high profile international FMCG, alcohol and lifestyle brands, delivering a combination of experiential activations, pop-up events and ongoing ambassador programmes for the likes of Guinness, Ribena and Match.com.  
 
Also joining Wolfe are Neil Cooper and Hannah Morgan, who both join the team as project co-ordinators.  Cooper has recently completed a master’s degree in international events management and Morgan is a graduate of MMU with a first-class degree in events management.
