LOWELL, Ark. – J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: JBHT), one of the largest supply chain solutions providers in North America, announced today that Shelley Simpson has been named Chief Commercial Officer of J.B. Hunt. In her expanded role, Simpson will oversee the commercialization of J.B Hunt 360TM, the company’s next-generation supply chain solution, and its implementation within enterprise sales. She will serve as president of the newly established Highway Services, which was created to help unify the management of all asset and non-asset J.B. Hunt services in the Truckload and Integrated Capacity Solutions (ICS) business units. Simpson will continue overseeing the direction of sales and marketing and will retain her officer title of corporate executive vice president. “I have great confidence in Shelley’s ability to lead our efforts to provide innovative, technology-based solutions for customers,” said John Roberts, president and CEO of J.B. Hunt deliver value to our customers in today’s digitally driven economy.” Simpson joined J.B. Hunt after graduating from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1994. Since then she has taken on numerous positions across a variety of business segments, including: Director of Pricing for Truck and Intermodal, Vice President of Economic Analysis, Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration, and, in 2007, President of ICS. As President of ICS, Simpson developed a newly-created business unit into the fastest growing area of the company, expanding its total number of available services and increasing annual revenue from $92 million to more than $850 million. In 2011, she was appointed Chief Marketing Officer and assumed sales and marketing executive responsibilities. Her executive leadership role expanded in 2014 to include President of J.B. Hunt’s Truckload business unit.
