ShareFest Job and Resource Fair Scheduled for September 11

The 2015 ShareFest Job & Resource Fair is scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ShareFest is collaborating with the Village of New Lenox and the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce to host this year’s event.

This year’s event is expected to include approximately 50 companies from a variety of industries that will be located in the Village Hall. Potential employers include Amazon, Silver Cross Hospital, Xerox, Trinity Services, Inc., Toys R Us, and Wal-Mart, as well as many local New Lenox businesses. One-on-One Resume Reviews will take place at the New Lenox Public Library (located east of the Village Hall) during the same time period.

Previous Job Fairs accommodated 400 job seekers and in some years, employers extended job offers to attendees that day! Job seekers should be prepared to meet potential employers with resumes in hand and to “dress for success.” The Village and the Chamber wish to extend its appreciation to the New Lenox Public Library and ShareFest’s many dedicated volunteers for helping to make this event possible.

“Recyclepalooza” – Saturday, September 12, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Saturday, September 12, ShareFest will offer a free reuse/recycling event that allows Will County residents the opportunity to dispose of household hazardous waste, electronics, Styrofoam, and scrap metal and more. ShareFest will also accept clothing, books, household goods, pet-related items, non-perishable food, and items for the troops during this time. This collection event will take place at Spencer School Campus, 1711 S. Spencer Rd, New Lenox, IL 60451.

“Main Event” – Saturday, September 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year’s “Main Event” will take place on Saturday, September 19 at Spencer School Campus, 1711 S. Spencer Rd, New Lenox, IL 60451. At this event, attendees are welcome to help themselves to free clothing, books, home goods, pet-related items, and more. There will also free legal advice from a group of attorneys, a Health & Safety Fair including with free screenings and lectures from local health care providers, an art exhibit, freebies, and fun for the whole family. Volunteers also go out into the community to complete fix/up and repair projects for seniors, veterans, and those in need as well as a workday project for the Forest Preserve District of Will County.
