Steps 4 Life Community Services will hold a Community Health and Public Safety Fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Sylvan Park, at the corner of University Street and Colton Avenue in Redlands.

The goal of the event is to increase access to free health and public safety resources for people and their families who are affected by substance abuse, mental health issues, homelessness and domestic violence.

There will be booths with representatives from volunteer health organizations, social service agencies, healthy-living businesses and community-based and faith-based agencies from Redlands, Highland, San Bernardino, Loma Linda and Yucaipa.

Free health screenings will be available as well as information and giveaways to encourage self-care, personal safety and healthy families.

There will also be music, raffles and activities for children.

The first 50 people attending the event will receive a free lunch.
