If you think your mobile wallets can’t get simpler and quicker, you are wrong. Samsung Pay gives a whole new meaning to mobile wallets. It’s super quick and super smart. But let me tell you right away that the service is available only on Samsung handsets costing upwards of 20,000, and Samsung’s smart watch Gear s3. That’s a downer. The Samsung Pay app supports credit and debit cards of Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, State Bank of India (credit cards only) and Samsung is working on integrating Citibank card holders too. Samsung Pay also supports payments through mobile wallets and for that so far Samsung has Paytm on board.
In terms of security, Samsung claims that all data is encrypted, there is no storage of information and they have a system where your information is safe even if you lose your device!
So here’s how quick it is to pay through Samsung Pay
