The Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact are now available for purchase from Amazon, after being exclusive to Best Buy for nearly a month. So if you’ve been waiting to pick up the new Xperia XZ2 or XZ2 Compact, now is definitely the time to do so. The models offered at Amazon are factory unlocked models, for GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile. However, the XZ2 Compact is compatible with Verizon and has been certified. So it will also work at Verizon and all you need to do is insert your SIM card, however, it won’t work at Sprint and the regular Xperia XZ2 won’t work on either carrier, interestingly enough.

Sony’s new Xperia XZ2 lineup are pretty premium smartphones from the company, with Snapdragon 845 chipsets under-the-hood. The larger Xperia XZ2 sports a 5.7-inch Full HD 18:9 aspect ratio display. There is also 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, there is still a micro SD card slot available for expanding storage, should you need some more space. It’s powered by a 3180mAh capacity battery. While the Xperia XZ2 Compact sports a smaller 5-inch Full HD display, which is also sporting the 18:9 aspect ratio. It also has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a micro SD card slot. There is a slightly smaller 2870mAh capacity battery inside. These two smartphones sport relatively the same specs, aside from the screen sizes and battery capacities, so you can really get a smaller device without losing the premium specs here.

Both of these smartphones from Sony sport the same camera on the back. That’s a 19-megapixel sensor that is capable of taking some rather incredible images. Sony has also included 960fps slow-motion video here, which is something it had done on the Xperia XZ1 last fall as well, but now it is upgraded a bit and will work in full HD resolution instead of just HD. Both of these smartphones are great options for those looking for a new smartphone, and will definitely handle everything you through at it. These are both running Android Oreo right now and should be upgraded to Android P in the very near future.
