Score another point for LCD and plasma. Seiko Epson has decided to stop production of rear-projection TV sets, following in the tracks of Hitachi, which ditched North American sales of rear-projection TVs earlier this year.
Seiko Epson says it will continue to do R&D on rear-projection sets, but momentum now is clearly in favor of big-ass plasma and LCD sets.
