Yahoo!'s Million-Dollar Fashion Investment

YAHOO! has expanded its fashion portfolio by purchasing online shopping service Polyvore for approximately $230 million, reports the Wall Street Journal.

While the acquisition hasn't been officially confirmed by the online technology company, it marks a further step into the style world following the launch of its digital magazine Yahoo! Style last November.

Polyvore - which allows users to curate and collage items into a moodboard before being sent through to purchase - will be incorporated into digital magazines following the merger, which Yahoo! CEO Marissa Meyer hopes will open up new marketing and relationships with key brands across its online platforms, according to sources.
