Spartanburg School District 7 officials have shared a plan, still in concept only, for the possibility of a new high school, a new elementary school and relocation of a middle school.The district shared the concept Tuesday that is being considered for a new Spartanburg High School that could open within the next four years.The site of the new high school would be East Main Street and Webber Road near the Home Depot, in the current proposal.If the plan goes through, a new elementary school could replace two current elementary schools.One year after the new high school opens, McCracken Middle School would move into the old Spartanburg High building, if the plan, as it stands, ends up approved.Teachers at the high school were told about the concept for the new school Tuesday afternoon.
