Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financial Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which rose 2.86% or 12.67 points to trade at 455.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 2.41% or 7.55 points to end at 321.05 and Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) was up 1.80% or 0.700 points to 39.540 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which fell 1.97% or 0.590 points to trade at 29.390 at the close. Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) declined 1.88% or 0.870 points to end at 45.450 and Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) was down 1.65% or 0.400 points to 23.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 145 to 122 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.03% or 0.35 to $1198.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $48.49 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.17 to trade at $51.83 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.09% to 19.6529, while EUR/MXN fell 0.05% to 20.8446.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 101.62.
