Tele2 AB Q2 Profit Decreases; Affirms Guidance - Quick Facts

Tele2 AB (TLTZF.PK,TLTZY.PK) reported second quarter profit from continuing operations to equity holders of the parent company of 309 million Swedish kronor compared to 821 million kronor, a year ago. Earnings per share from continuing operations was 0.69 krona compared to 1.83 krona. Tele2's EBITDA amounted to 1.39 billion kronor compared to 1.47 billion kronor, prior year.

EBIT amounted to 664 million kronor compared to 790 million kronor excluding oneoff items, and 593 million kronor compared to 791 million kronor including one-off items.

Net sales amounted to 6.61 billion kronor compared to 6.34 billion kronor, an increase of 4%, driven by strong performance in mobile end-user service revenue, which grew by 7 percent. Net sales, FX adjusted, were up 2%.

Tele2 said its guidance for 2015 for continuing operations remains unchanged. The company continues to expect: Mobile end-user service revenue growth of mid-single digits; Net revenue of between 25.5 billion kronor and 26.5 billion kronor; and EBITDA of between 5.8 billion kronor and 6.0 billion kronor.
