Of course Chuck Schumer is first in line trying to save Alcoa. Maybe that's because he and fellow Democrat Mario Cuomo were crowing about the great deal they made insuring that Alcoa would keep 700 jobs at the Alcoa plant. The only thing that their deal accomplished was to provide Alcoa with cheap power while they were deciding when to close the plant.
