Tommy Gardner Joins Jacobs as Head of Mission Solutions Technology Unit; Darren Kraabel Comments

Tommy Gardner, formerly chief technology officer at systems engineering firm Scitor, has joined Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) as head of its Mission Solutions business’ technology arm.

He will oversee sales, corporate operations and growth strategies for the delivery of data analytics, Internet-connected tools and cybersecurity platforms to the company’s clients in the government sector and intelligence community, Jacobs said Wednesday.

Darren Kraabel, a vice president at Jacobs, said Gardner’s cybersecurity and data science experience will help leverage the company’s technology offerings to federal clients.

The former chief technology officer at ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) has delivered presentations as a keynote speaker at several conferences, including the CyberSpace Symposium on the Future of Cyber and the International Congress of Mechanical Engineers on Big Data.

Gardner also served as a member of several boards, including the Cyber Advisory Board for The Citadel and the Board of Governors.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, a master’s degree in management of technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a doctorate in energy economics from George Washington University.
