In trading on Thursday, the SPDR S&P Metals and Mining ETF (XME) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 4.1% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Cliffs Natural Resources (CLF), up about 30.3% and shares of Coeur Mining (CDE), up about 7.5% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares U.S. Home Construction ETF (ITB), off about 2.9% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of Beazer Homes USA (BZH), lower by about 15.7%, and shares of Meritage Homes (MTH), lower by about 12.8% on the day.
