Sebastian Coe should quit Nike advisory role, says MP

The new President of the IAAF, Lord Coe, has been urged to end his role as an international adviser with Nike, after the former athlete faced allegations of a conflict of interest.

A BBC investigation uncovered an email from earlier this year that claimed Coe had "reached out" to his predecessor Lamine Diack to support the American city of Eugene's bid to host the 2021 World Championships.

The Oregon city is closely associated with Nike. But Coe says he "did not lobby anyone".

Damian Collins MP Media & Sport Select Committee told the BBC: "His relationship with Nike is one that he should end now."
