OmniVision Technologies Inc. (OVTI) Rose To A 5-Month High After Merger

OmniVision Technologies Inc. (OVTI) announced Thursday morning that it has agreed to be acquired by a consortium for $29.75 per share in cash, or a total of approximately $1.9 billion. The consortium is composed of Hua Capital Management Co. Ltd., CITIC Capital Holdings Limited and GoldStone Investment Co. Ltd.

OmniVision Technologies gapped open sharply higher Thursday, but was range-bound throughout the session. Shares finished with a gain of 1.35 at $27.90, with volume at an 8-month high. The stock jumped to a 5-month high.
