Silver Wheaton Corp., a precious-metals mine-financing company, said the Canada Revenue Agency wants to reassess its earnings from foreign subsidiaries.
The agency’s proposal may subject it to an additional C$715 million ($560 million) of taxes for the period 2005 to 2010, Vancouver-based Silver Wheaton said Tuesday in a statement. The company said the agency’s proposal, made Monday in a letter, doesn’t require it to make any payment at the current time.
