Christopher M. Mathieu, Farmington-based Horizon Technology Finance Corp.’s senior vice president chief financial officer and treasurer, has resigned, the company said Tuesday.
The speciality finance firm did not give a reason for Mathieu’s resignation, which is effective Aug. 31.
Mathieu will be replaced in the interim by Daniel R. Trolio, vice president and corporate controller, while the company searches for a permanent successor, Robert D. Pomeroy, Jr., Horizon’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement.
Pomeroy thanked Mathieu for his “many contributions to Horizon’s success” and said Trolio’s “in-depth knowledge of our operations makes him well-suited for this leadership role.”
Trolio’s new titles are vice president of finance and interim CFO.
Mathieu has been in his current role with Horizon since 2010 and held comparable positions with the company’s advisor since 2003, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Trolio has been in his current position since 2010 and responsible for supervision of all accounting, tax and financial reporting functions. He also held the same positions with the company’s advisor since 2006, Horizon said.
