Google has officially launched the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P in India. The LG-made Nexus 5X is priced at Rs 31,900 for the 16GB version while the 32GB model will be available at Rs 35,900. The flagship Nexus 6P made by Huawei will be available at Rs 39,999 for 32GB and Rs 42,999 for the 64GB version.
The Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will be available both online and offline. The Nexus 5X will be exclusive to Amazon, while Nexus 6P is a Flipkart exclusive. The device are available for pre-order starting today. The Nexus 5X is listed on Amazon India and preorder for the device starts at 2PM. Both the devices will be available for sale online on October 21 and offline later in the month.

The Nexus 5X has a 5.2 inch LCD screen with FHD (1920×1080) resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has fingerprint and smudge-resistant oleophobic coating. The dimensions of the Nexus 5X are 147.0 x 72.6 x 7.9 mm and it weighs 136 g.
LG has announced that it will free Bluetooth headset worth Rs 2,500, free screen replacement due to accidental damage and cashback of Rs 3,500 for HDFC Bank Credit Card users.
Nexus 6P comes with a bigger screen at 5.7 inches with WQHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display at 518 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 as well as the fingerprint and smudge-resistant oleophobic coating. The dimensions are 159.3 X 77.8 X 7.3 mm and it weighs 178 g.
Nexus 6P is an all-metal smartphone which Google says is made from “aeronautical-grade aluminum,” while the Nexus 5X has a ‘molded polycarbonate’ body.
Nexus 6P runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa-core 64-bit processor, Adreno 430 GPU and 3 GB LPDDR4 RAM. Nexus 5X has Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor hexa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, Adreno 418 GPU. It has 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM.
Both phones also come with an Android Sensor Hub, which is like the co-processor in Apple’s iPhones. The Android Sensor Hub detects movement on the phone and is linked to the camera sensors as well. Google says it will help reduce power consumption on the smartphone.
Google has also given both Nexus phones the same rear camera, which is 12.3 mp one with IR Laser-Assisted autofocus. Both Nexus smartphones come with a 1.55 µm pixels size, which Google says lets them take better pictures in low-light than rivals like S6, iPhone 6s etc. The front camera is 5 megapixels in the Nexus 5X with f/2.0, while Nexus 6P has an 8mp front camera.
Nexus 6P has a 3,450 mAh battery while Nexus 5X has a 2,700 mAh battery. Android M comes with a new Doze which will shut down background app activity when it detects that the phone has not been used for some time.
Both Nexus 6P and 5X also come with Google’s new fingerprint sensor called Nexus Imprint, which the company claims is lightning fast. However given that Android Pay is yet to come to India, it remains to be seen how this will be used here.
While Nexus 6P has dual-front facing speakers, Nexus 5X has single-front facing speakers. Nexus 6P comes in Black, Silver and White, while Nexus 5X comes in Black, Blue and White.
The LG Nexus 5X will be available in Charcoal Black, Quartz White and Ice Blue colour options while Nexus 6P will only be available in silver and black colour options.
