NEW DELHI: Almost three months after launching Black, a smartphone part of a new sub-brand with the same name, domestic handset maker Xolo is gearing up to launch its successor.
According to sources, the new device will be called Black 1X and will be priced in the same range as its predecessor.
Xolo Black 1X will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor and will come with 32GB internal storage.
The phone will feature a full-HD display that will cover 85% of the NTSC colour gamut (most smartphones cover 72%) which means it will offer better colour reproduction. The phone will be launched by end of October.
To recap, the Xolo Black was launched in July. The USP of the smartphone is dual rear camera lenses for DSLR-like bokeh (depth of field) effects.
The Xolo Black sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920x1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor and 2GB RAM, the phone comes with 16GB internal storage optionally expandable up to 32GB via microSD cards(hybrid sim card). The phone runs HIVE UI, Xolo’s custom UI based on Android 5.0 and features Material Design.
The Black sports an 13M+2MP rear cameras and a 5MP front camera with a front flash. The phone comes with a 3200mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 1.0 for faster charging.
In terms if connectivity, the dual-sim device supports 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
