Randstad Holding nv is pleased to announce the launch of the European Pact for Youth during CSR Europe's Enterprise 2020 Summit, November 17 in Brussels. A pledge from EU and business leaders on the joint delivery of jobs, growth and investment for young people in Europe. As one of the co-writers, Randstad jointly with amongst others CSR Europe and the European Commission drafted this mutual engagement of business and EU leaders that has special endorsement from His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium, Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission and Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament.

Member of the executive board of Randstad Holding, François Béharel, participated in a panel of Chief Executives during the launching ceremony of the Pact for Youth, hosted by Marianne Thyssen, European Commissioner of Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility.

Putting youth at the forefront, decreasing youth unemployment and enhancing Europe's human capital now and in the future, those are the main reasons why youth needs to be enabled to develop new skills, required to survive in the new world of work. This is not only the responsibility of the individual but also of companies, educational institutes, governments and policy makers. All the more reason to enhance business-education collaboration to prepare youth for quality jobs and decrease the current skills mismatch.

François Béharel comments: 'It is important that young people are equipped with the relevant set of skills that can help increase both their employability and companies competitiveness. The Big Data solution developed by Randstad France gives better prospective information to young people regarding real shortage in the market, and helps them make the right decision by providing better insight to get the best start on the labor market.'
