BYRON TOWNSHIP, MI -- With Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc.'s first West Michigan mall scheduled to open in three months, retailers are putting out the call for employees.
A job fair is planned for 11. a.m. to 7 p.m. June 6 at Byron Center High School, 8500 Burlingame Ave SW. Applicants are encouraged to bring their resumes.
More information about the job fair will be announced soon, said Randy Zimmerman, general manager of the soon-to-open mall.
Several dozen positions are listed on the website. They include a mix of full-time store management positions or part-time sales staff positions.
Those interested in jobs are encouraged to contact the Tanger Outlet management office or the retail stores directly about open positions.
Retailers posting openings include American Eagle, Banana Republic, Bath & Body Works, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, G.H. Bass, Guess, Nike, Perfumania, Skechers, The Children's Place, Under Armour, Uniform Outlet and Yankee Candle.
The postings include job descriptions but few details about pay range or compensation.

The mall also is looking for part-time customer service representatives to work 10 to 29 hours a week assisting customers, welcoming tour buses, selling Tanger Club memberships and handling other general office duties.
Located west of US-131 off the 84th Street exit, the $80 million Tanger shopping center is estimated to create 1,000 permanent full- and part-time jobs, in addition to 300 construction workers building the 350,000-square-foot shopping center.
