EastEnders lines up even sadder scenes for Tracey the Barmaid next week following Woody's shock decision to fire her from the Queen Vic.

Fans have been left outraged after Friday night's episode saw Woody give Tracey her marching orders to cut costs, despite her 30 years of service at the pub.

When the storyline continues next week, the Carters desperately try to reason with both Woody and Fi Browning in a last-ditch attempt to change their minds.

News of Tracy's dismissal also doesn't go down well with the residents of the Square, which soon leaves the Carters dealing with much more than they bargained for.

This brand new picture shows Sharon Mitchell and Whitney Carter trying to soften the blow by throwing a farewell party for Tracey, but will it all go to plan?

As a result, Tegan tells Nick that she's fed up with sneaking around and won't carry on with their fling until he dumps Holly.

Nick seems ready to listen to Tegan's words of warning, but when he returns home to a sexy surprise planned by Holly, he suddenly changes his mind and decides not to dump her after all.

Back at work, womaniser Nick soon gives into temptation with Tegan yet again, but this time they get caught out by Zack Loveday (Duayne Boachie) who's friends with Holly but is also dating Tegan's sister Leela.

Deciding where his loyalties lie, Zack quickly gets tough with Nick by warning him to tell Holly the truth in 24 hours, or he will.

Life then gets even more complicated for Nick when Tegan realises she may be expecting his baby, which is seemingly proven when she takes a pregnancy test and it comes out positive.

When Tegan shares her big news with Nick, he turns nasty as he tells her she was only ever a bit of fun, so he certainly doesn't want to raise a baby with her. As Nick's true colours emerge yet again, what will Tegan's next move be?

Todd stands firm by making it very clear to Billy that he doesn't want a child, let alone somebody else's.

Meanwhile, Emmerdale's Lydia Hart comes to the rescue of the Thomas family when concern grows for Arthur.

As Laurel and Doug express their worries about how Arthur is avoiding school following Ashley's death, Lydia overhears and offers to give him some grief counselling.

Although Laurel and Doug are both slightly reluctant about having quirky Lydia involved in Arthur's troubles, they agree to give it a go.

Unfortunately, the first session runs the risk of ending in complete farce when Arthur's hamster escapes and Lydia spots it running around the house, panicking that it's a rat.

While it's hardly the greatest start to Lydia's involvement with the Thomas family, there'll be a happier ending in store as Emmerdale boss Iain MacLeod has confirmed that she'll soon be moving in as Laurel's new lodger.

Iain confirmed: "We just wanted to make sure Laurel has a houseful. We didn't want that family to just sit around and miss their father, so we added a new ingredient in there that would be fun."

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, May 4 at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
