Its been a tumultuous week in Baton Rouge as LSU continues to deal with the possibility that Les Miles won't be back next season.

One thing is for certain: Miles will be on the sideline for the Tigers' final regular-season game against Texas A&M, and athletic director Joe Alleva had some choice words to back up his head coach.

Alleva told Miles to go beat the Aggies, and give the LSU decision-makers "some ammo," according to ESPN.

Over the past few days, contradicting reports have surfaced about Miles' future in Death Valley, and one can only imagine how many directions Alleva is being pulled in from the fan base, the players, and the board.

On Friday, Jim Kleinpeter of the Times-Picanyune reported that Miles told the LSU Gridiron Club that Saturday would be his final game. LSU has since denied those reports, indicating that a final decision has yet to be made.

On early Saturday morning, LSU Board of Supervisors member Stanley Jacobs released a statement concerning Miles' fate, saying there hasn't been a recommendation to oust Miles.

"There has been much speculation that Les Miles is coaching his last game tonight," Jacobs told USA Today's Gannett Louisiana. "For that to happen, there would have had to have been a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors. No recommendation has been made. He is our coach, and I wish him well."

Another facet to the saga has been the rumblings about who LSU would hire to succeed Miles. Many believe that Florida State head coach and former Tigers assistant Jimbo Fisher would fit the bill.

It makes sense that LSU would only part ways with Miles if it knew for certain that a worthwhile candidate would replace the coach they've had for the past 11 years.

But on Saturday, Fisher reportedly told Seminoles school president John Thrasher that he has no desire to leave Tallahassee.

The report says Fisher told administration that "he is happy with the support he receives and the direction of the program, and has no intentions of leaving Florida State for another coaching job at this time."
