DEVELOPING – Bullets Fly In Downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS ( WCBI) – Columbus Police detectives will spend Sunday searching for suspects who launched a volley of bullets downtown.

 

The gunfire erupted after midnight on 5th Street North between the Princess Theater and the Freds Department store.  Detectives on scene could not release information but video of one area of the street and sidewalk show investigators marking spots where bullets, casings or other evidence was being recovered.  The evidence markers displayed in that one area numbered in the double digits.  Officers also examined a car on the street which may have been caught in the crossfire. Police have not said if anyone was hurt or if they have any description of the shooter or shooters involved. WCBI will have the latest on this developing story as it becomes available
