Chimera Investment Q2 Profit Rises

Chimera Investment Corp. (CIM) Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $116.2 million or $0.57 per share, up from $104.8 million or $0.51 per share last year.

Net interest income for the quarter rose to $149.8 million from $113.6 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.60 on revenues of $168.37 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
