A supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases and other products said it has acquired Valley Air Supply of Muscle Shoals.
Marking its third acquisition since April 1, Airgas announced the purchase of the northwest Alabama company this morning in a news release. Valley Air Supply also has operations in Decatur, Jasper and Jackson, Tenn.
The Pennsylvania company declined to disclose the financial terms of the deal.
"The acquisition will expand upon Valley Air Supply's product and service offering and will strengthen Airgas' presence in the region, enhancing overall customer service," said Kaitlin Moyer, a spokeswoman for Airgas.
Moyer said Valley Air will be integrated into Airgas and operate under the management of the Airgas South region. More than 30 Valley Air associates have joined Airgas as a result of the acquisition.
No changes in jobs have been announced.
Valley Air Supply, which is headquartered on 2020 Ford Road, distributes industrial gas and welding supplies. Last year, the company produced more than $10 million in sales, Airgas reports.
Since the start of Airgas' 2016 fiscal year in April, the company has bought Liberty Welding Supply in Vancouver, Wash., and eKipro Rentals and Grupo Industrial Daymaga in Mexico. Total aggregated acquired revenue tops $31 million.
