DSW Inc. (DSW) Sank To A New Low After Q2 Earnings Fell Short

DSW Inc. (DSW) reported second quarter earnings per share from continuing operations of $0.42 Tuesday morning, compared to $0.37 in the previous year. Analysts expected EPS of $0.42. The company also reiterated its full year EPS forecast of $1.80 to $1.90. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.91.

DSW gapped open lower Tuesday and declined during the first 45 minutes of trade. The stock slipped further going into the close and finished with a loss of 3.52 at $27.35 on the highest volume of the year. DSW sank beneath over a 1-month trading range and set a new low for the year.
