NSW Governments new partnership with AGL Energy

NSW seniors are being encouraged to take advantage of potential savings that are now available on their electricity and solar bills through the NSW Government’s new partnership with AGL Energy (AGL).

Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead welcomed the new arrangement that will allow NSW Seniors Card holders to access discounted energy plans.

Mr Bromhead said, “Through this offer, Seniors Card holders in NSW can receive a 20 percent discount off electricity usage charges.”

“In addition to the discount, seniors who switch their electricity to AGL before 30 June will also get a $50 credit on each of their accounts.

“Importantly there are no exit fees, which mean seniors can exit this deal if they find a better one.

“As Myall Lakes has one of the highest number of Seniors Card holders in NSW, while savings will vary depending on individual circumstances including any current level of discount, this is a great opportunity for Seniors to consider taking advantage of the offer.

“While individuals can and should always try to negotiate a better deal for themselves, the NSW Government already has done this on behalf of all Senior’s Card holders.”

AGL General Manager, Marketing & Retail Sales, Mark Brownfield said AGL was delighted to be partnering with the Seniors Card program to provide NSW seniors with great energy offers and a range of other benefits.

“AGL’s energy offer gives NSW Seniors Card holders access to competitive discounts off their electricity usage charges as well as special offers on solar and a range of other benefits.  We also have a dedicated senior’s line to answer any questions seniors might have about the program,” Mr Brownfield said.
