PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -- A $2 million gift from the Parker Hannifin Foundation has completed Ursuline College's $15.7 million campaign to build two buildings.

An academic center will be named the Parker Hannifin Center for the Creative and Healing Arts. The athletic center replaces the center destroyed by a tornado in 2013.

The college received $5.3 million in an insurance settlement for the athletic center. The new athletic and fitness center will cost about $10.5 million.

The Parker Hannifin Center, which will cost about $10.5 million, will include the Breen School of Nursing and the Art Therapy and Counseling Program. The three story, 22,000 square-foot building will include laboratories, classrooms and conference rooms.

Parker Hannifin Corporation has had a long-standing relationship with the college and has supported it since the 1960s, officials said in a news release.

"We are most grateful for the generous support of the Parker Hannifin Foundation and we are indeed honored to have the Parker Hannifin name on our newest academic center," Sr. Diana Stano, the school's president, said in a statement.

The dedication of the Parker Hannifin Center and the athletic center is scheduled for June 10. Construction began in April 2014.
