La-Z-Boy appoints new chief accounting officer

MONROE, Mich. – La-Z-Boy, Inc. has appointed Lindsay Barnes as chief accounting officer to replace Margaret Mueller who resigned, effective August 14.Lindsay Barnes

Prior Barnes’s promotion, she served as vice president and corporate controller. She joined the company in 2011 as director of financial reporting and was promoted in January 2015 to vice president and corporate controller. Prior to joining the La-Z-Boy, Barnes, a certified public accountant, held various financial positions at Borders Group, Inc.

Mueller resigned as chief accounting officer and remains with the company through August 31 as vice president of finance and assistant treasurer. Company officials said Mueller’s resignation “is not a result of any disagreement with the company’s independent auditors or any member of management on any matter of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure or internal controls.”
